our mission

The mission of ALM is to assist individuals and families in the discovery of Biblical truth, and to encourage its implementation in daily living. ALM aims to care for you and your family through programs that are practical, personal and Bible-based.

guiding principles

God's Word is truth
God is the Father of truth, having revealed Himself to us through His Word, the Bible. Satan, on the other hand, is the father of lies and seeks to confuse and mislead people through deception. Therefore, in every aspect of ALM’s ministry, we seek to help individuals and families discover and apply God’s powerfully transforming Scriptural principles.
“…you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” John 8:32
Jesus is the bridge between God and man.
All people are sinners and need to be forgiven and set free from their sin in order to experience eternal life in heaven. We recognize that the purpose of Jesus Christ’s life, death and resurrection is to provide this gift of eternal life. All who believe in Him, repenting of and turning away from their sin, become part of God’s family. It is the hope and prayer of ALM staff that every client and seminar-attendee becomes a follower of Jesus.
“…there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.” Acts 4:12
The Holy Spirit empowers people to live victoriously.
Every individual who lives by the guidelines God has given will benefit by them, whether he/she gives the credit to God or not. However, it is extremely difficult and often impossible to implement these principles without the help of God Himself. When an individual puts his/her faith in Christ, God’s Holy Spirit comes to live in that person and He delights in helping him/her live SUPER-naturally. Therefore, the ALM staff seeks to encourage individuals to invite the Holy Spirit to fill and empower them daily.
“Be filled with the Spirit.” Ephesians 5:18
“I pray that…he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being.” Ephesians 3:16
Marriage and family are extremely important to God.
God created man and woman, bringing them together in a life-long covenant, called marriage. He designed this relationship to provide a model of the enduring love relationship He desires to have with human beings. Therefore, we seek to defend the institution of marriage, to discourage separation and divorce and to promote God-honoring love between husband and wife.
“The Lord God said, ‘It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.’ … For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh.” Genesis 2:18, 24
“Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate.” Matthew 19:6
Children are given by God to parents, not as a burden, but as a reward. God desires parents to model His love to their children. At ALM, we encourage parents to take seriously the responsibility of raising their children to know God and to love Him.
“Sons are a heritage from the Lord, children a reward from him.” Psalm 127:3
“…do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.” Ephesians 6:4
Forgiveness is essential for victorious Christian living.
There are many different problem-situations represented by the people who come through the doors of ALM. Underneath the surface of most of these difficulties, is an attitude of anger, resentment, bitterness, or hurt toward another person. Jesus taught that in order to be forgiven by God, individuals must extend forgiveness to those who have wronged them. Therefore ALM staff urge clients to examine their inter-personal relationships and forgive others wherever needed
“For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.” Mathew 6:14, 15
